Prof. Carlo Torti graduated in Medicine from the University of Pavia in 1994. He obtained his specialty in Infectious Diseases in 2000 from the University of Brescia where he worked as Consultant Physician and Assistant Professor in Infectious Diseases from 2001 to 2012. He was appointed Director of the Infectious and Tropical Diseases Unit at the University “Magna Graecia” in Catanzaro in 2012. He is Associate Professor in the same University. He also served as Honorary Lecturer at the University of Makerere (Uganda). His main areas of interests are: general Infectious Diseases, viro-immunological and clinical outcomes of antiretroviral treatment, HIV drug resistance, and co-infection of HIV with hepatitis viruses. He recently expanded his research interests to include HCV epidemiology and management. He has published more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, participated in many international clinical trials, and he is member of the Steering Committee of several cohort studies (including COHERE). Prof. Carlo Torti is a Section Editor for BMC Infection Diseases and served as Editor and Peer Reviewer for several International Journals including The Lancet, Hepatology, Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and others.

Cancellation, Postponement and Transfer of Registration

If Allied Academies cancels this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.

If Allied Academies postpones an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on one of the rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

Allied Academies is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of an event. In the unlikely event of cancellation or postponement of the conference due to circumstances beyond Allied Academies reasonable control including but not limited to, acts of terrorism, war, and natural disaster, Allied Academies cannot be held responsible for any cost, damage or expense which may be incurred by registrants as a consequence of the event being postponed or cancelled. Due to any unavoidable circumstances if there is a change in venue of the conference, all the registered participants will be intimated immediately regarding the change.

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to is

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Within 90-60 days of the conference: 50% refund
Within 60 days of the conference: No refund
